Chloroquine resistance is widespread. Chloroquine should not be used for treatment of P. falciparum infections from areas of chloroquine resistance or malaria occurring in patients where chloroquine prophylaxis has failed. Patients infected with a resistant strains of plasmodia should be treated with another antimalarial drug. Patients must be screened for G6PD deficiency before starting primaquine or tafenoquine. See Tafenoquine Approved for Malaria Prophylaxis and Treatment for more information. Yellow Fever Maps 1 This map is an updated version of the 2010 map crated by the Informal WHO Working Group on the Geographic Risk of Yellow Fever. Chloroquine or multidrug-resistant falciparum malaria. Quinine plus doxycycline. 300 mg quinine 100 mg doxycycline. Quinine 2 tablets 3 times a day for 3 days, accompanied by 1 tablet of doxycycline twice daily for 7 days. Recommended where no chloroquine resistance present. Both drugs may be needed for a complete cure and to prevent the return of infection (relapse). In some cases, you may need to take a different medication (such as primaquine) to kill the malaria parasites living in other body tissues.

DNA supercoiling is differentially regulated by. The supercoiling state of plasmid pUC18 was analysed primarily by means of one‐dimensional agarose gels containing 2.5 µg ml −1 chloroquine, which intercalates with DNA and relaxes negative supercoils. Supercoiled molecules are more compact and so migrate faster through the gel.
