    I do not know about G6PD. Plaquenil should be prescribed on your weight. Unless you are over 150 pounds, you should not be taking 200 mil. I have Pllaquenil toxcity. The dosage was too much for my weight. G6PD deficiency is a common cause of persistent jaundice in newborns. If left untreated, this can lead to significant brain damage and mental retardation. Most people with G6PD deficiency can lead fairly normal lives, but there is no specific treatment apart from prevention.
