If you’re having surgery, you most likely will have some type of anesthesia to keep you from feeling pain during the procedure. While anesthesia is very safe, it can cause side effects both during and after the procedure.

In general, Celebrex can be restarted the day after the procedure once the risk of bleeding is over. I'm on Plaquenil, and after the first week's GI upset, I have had no problems with it. Did you take yourself off Plaquenil, or did your doctor tell you to go off it? And as far as the vision issue goes, toxicity causing vision loss is very rare if you are on the right dose for your height and if you get regular eye exams.
