    Does plaquenil cause weight gain

I know that the medication is known to cause weight loss and decreased appetite, but I've found that since starting treatment I've gained weight and nothing seems to budge it. Unfortunately, a LOT of the meds we're prescribed come with weight gain as a side effect (just ONCE I wish the side effects would be "become irresistible" but I've yet to hear about that drug trial)Usually it's an issue of one or two things (sometimes both).
